The rehearsal and the kick off to the whole wedding weekend is just one week from today! I'm so excited for the wedding -- aside from all the little things that still need to be done, I wish this weekend was the wedding weekend. :)
Hope you all have a happy Fourth of July weekend! Joe's working this weekend and I'm looking forward to relaxing in between little wedding tasks like running up to Bonnydoon Winery for some wine (where they believe "wine should be as much fun as government regulations allow") and checking to be sure the bathrooms are staying unlocked at UCSC on Sundays (our contact there was neither able to "guarantee or request" they be unlocked... hmmm)...
Anyway! Really looking forward to seeing you all when you begin rolling into town...!
Oh, one more thing: We may have found the best pizza place in town last night. Joe, Phil and I went to Engfer Pizza Works on Seabright last night. A bit noisy in the old building, but very tasty pizza! Joe and I shared the Peppi-Tom and Phil had the Ham & Pinnapple. And I totally recommend the Organic Green Salad -- it was a perfect combination of greens, olive oil & balsamic, and feta cheese -- just like I'd make at home! Also, Phil had a beer there that he simply LOVED: Kona LongBoard Lager. They do seem to have a great selection of beers & wine.
