This weekend, Nia and Jackson had a joint birthday party at Jackson's house (read: very little was required of my cancery self -- phew!). Jackson's parents had the brilliant idea to make it an old school robot-making party. What fun!
So I snapped some pictures but otherwise took it easy in a chair and enjoyed watching the kids (and dads) have so much fun.
Birthdays are very important to me. I've always loved celebrating, but now, with the cancer, I think it is even more important to celebrate the births of our friends, family, children, selves. Frankly, you never know what will happen between one birthday and the next. So, I couldn't let Nia's 4th go by without a lot of celebrating. But. It's awful tiring, even when all I have to do is sit in a chair and watch... Thank you so much to everyone who helped us celebrate our little one's anniversary. It really means a lot to me.
