I found my lump myself just by feeling it. Had I waited for my next gyno appointment or talked myself into thinking it was nothing, the cancer surely would have spread throughout my body. As it was, it was already Stage 3 when I felt it. Regular mammagrams would have been years away for me, being just 35.
So touch your boobs, ladies!
At the beginning of my cancer fight, Joe's Aunt Marj sent me an awesome Wonder Woman bracelet that I don't leave home without. I've become very superstitious about this bracelet. I think having it on is working for me! (Thank you, Marj!) I love the double-takes the bracelet gets. People, including my oncologist, will see it in passing on my wrist and turn away and then come back to ask, "Is that a Wonder Woman bracelet?! Very cool!"
Yes, it is Wonder Woman. And you best not come between me and my Woman. She's helping me kick some serious cancer ass, thank you.
