We finally did it. We finally took all your advise and made a baby registry. I decided to go with Amazon.com because I found it to be a nice (read: easy), one-stop-shop for a big variety of manufacturers. Here's the link to the Amazon registry.
A couple of additional notes:
1. For diapers, we decided to go with the cloth/flushable/compostable gDiapers. If you are interested in helping us acquire diaper supplies, we need more pairs of "Little g Pants" as well as the inserts and snap-in liners. They can be purchased at Whole Foods, New Leaf, or the gDiaper website.
2. For clothes, toys and books ~ we are totally into used items, so don't be shy about this at all! I haven't been there yet, but I hear there is a great shop in Santa Cruz for new & used clothes called Baby Bloomers, 923 Water Street.
3. Food Tree ~ if you'd like to contribute meals to ease the transition of life-with-baby, we'd be forever grateful. My friend, Erin, is coordinating a food tree and can tell you when your meal would be most appreciated and our dietary restrictions (I actually need to research this, but I hear that broccoli, onions and cauliflower can cause the little one to have very unpleasant gas!). Erin can be reached at [email protected].
If I think of anything else we need, I'll post again! Thank you!
