Three Years!

Our "Paper" Anniversary: 1 Year

First, an update on our delayed baggage: Last night at midnight a delivery van arrived with Joe's bag and our small bag of toiletries. My bag is still at large for some reason, which is really starting to suck. According to American Airlines my bag has been located and should have arrived into SFO yesterday at 4p with Joe's bag. Beyond that, so far, they can tell me nothing. What the hell?!

Anyway, on a happier note, Joe and I are spending my last day of vacation celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary a week early (Joe doesn't go back to work till Tues). This year has flown by!

We are going to a new favorite place, La Posta in Seabright, for their Sunday family-style fixed menu. Yum!

Just Married!

Thank you all for making July 9th a truly special day -- it would not have been the same without you! We are off to Tahoe this evening for a week-long honeymoon. When we return, we'll hopefully have some photos to share with you all. Please send us your favorite shots, too!!

ONE WEEK TO GO!!

At this time (6:45pm) next Sunday, we'll be married!

Phil & I went up to the University earlier to check on the bathroom availability and saw another wedding happening on the field. It was 4:30 and the wedding guests were just arriving and the wedding party were taking pictures on the field. Kind of surreal seeing another wedding there!

Just seven days to go... We are both really excited!!

1 Week to the Rehearsal!

The rehearsal and the kick off to the whole wedding weekend is just one week from today! I'm so excited for the wedding -- aside from all the little things that still need to be done, I wish this weekend was the wedding weekend. :)

Hope you all have a happy Fourth of July weekend! Joe's working this weekend and I'm looking forward to relaxing in between little wedding tasks like running up to Bonnydoon Winery for some wine (where they believe "wine should be as much fun as government regulations allow") and checking to be sure the bathrooms are staying unlocked at UCSC on Sundays (our contact there was neither able to "guarantee or request" they be unlocked... hmmm)...

Anyway! Really looking forward to seeing you all when you begin rolling into town...!

Oh, one more thing: We may have found the best pizza place in town last night. Joe, Phil and I went to Engfer Pizza Works on Seabright last night. A bit noisy in the old building, but very tasty pizza! Joe and I shared the Peppi-Tom and Phil had the Ham & Pinnapple. And I totally recommend the Organic Green Salad -- it was a perfect combination of greens, olive oil & balsamic, and feta cheese -- just like I'd make at home! Also, Phil had a beer there that he simply LOVED: Kona LongBoard Lager. They do seem to have a great selection of beers & wine.

So, totally recommend Engfer Pizza Works, 537 Seabright Ave, 831-429-1856.

Just 13 days to go!

Is it bad luck to acknowledge 13 days?

Anyway, 13 days till the ceremony, but only 10 days till my brother Kyle arrives from Wyoming and kicks off the wedding weekend! Can't wait to see you, Ky!

We are down to just one list of loose ends on the 'fridge. Granted the paper is completely packed with tasks to be done -- but it's one page! :)

Just a few reminders:
-- bring a sweater; while the folks in San Jose are roasting, the fog's been hanging around Santa Cruz...
-- bring a little cash for parking and cocktails
-- if you get lost the afternoon of the ceremony, call Joe's cell: 408-497-2185 (directions are below)

Less than three weeks to go -- I can't believe it!

Yesterday we celebrated our 12th anniversary! Wow... Looking forward to starting that year-count over after we're married! People get so shocked when they hear how long we've been together...

The Reception following the ceremony will take place at a restaurant called The Red in the old Santa Cruz Hotel (sign still on the building).

Exit the campus back onto EMPIRE GRADE (go LEFT).
RIGHT on BAY Street.
LEFT on MISSION.
RIGHT on CHESTNUT.
First LEFT on LOCUST.

The Red is on the corner of Locust and Cedar, 2nd story, above Planet Fresh Burritos.

Parking:
From Locust, go LEFT on CEDAR.
You will see a 4-story parking garage immediately on your RIGHT.
Parking is $0.50/hour; free after 1am.
